After the difficult years of post-war and exile, a new generation of artists, with names as renowned as those of <strong>Jorge Oteiza<\/strong>, <strong>Eduardo Chillida<\/strong>, <strong>Agust\u00edn Ibarrola<\/strong> or <strong>Mar\u00eda Paz Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong>, takes up the baton of the avant-garde, beginning a golden era that would continue in the following decades.<\/p>\n<p>With this exhibition titled <em><strong>Norabideak 50 \/ 90<\/strong><\/em> we close the cycle of three exhibitions, <em><strong>Rome &#8211; Paris capitals of art in the 19th century<\/strong><\/em> and <strong><em>Norabideak in interwar art<\/em><\/strong>, dedicated to the birth and development of modernity in Basque art.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Download catalogue &nbsp; The 1950s mark the beginning of a particularly fruitful period for the development of the plastic arts in the Basque Country.
